Migrant Resources Network Web Knowledge Platform
Compassion for Migrant Children (CMC) located in Beijing seeks to establish community centers in migrant communities.  By offering different programs for migrant children and their families, CMS endeavors to provide a structured framework within which individuals and businesses can express their care for children of migrants in China’s urban cities.  CMC currently operates two community centers in Beijing serving over 550 children and their families.  They impact over 1000 children weekly through programs in the centers and schools.

Project Description
In 2008, CMC launched the Migrant Resources Network (MRN), a web platform to better support, strengthen, and build the capacity of non-governmental organizations that serve, empower and advocate for the needs of migrants in China.  The website is currently serving as a collaborative knowledge platform for organizations working with migrants in China.  It includes the sharing of resources such as news, articles, research reports, laws and policies, a list of organizations in the sector, and other relevant information for those attempting to better the lives of migrants in China.  Organizations can join this effort simply by adding themselves to the Migrant NGO Directory which is also run by MRN and submitting resources to MRN.  CMC hopes to further develop the MRN platform in 2009.
